How should the gas price ranking be read?
What the latest data show
For H2 2025, Hungary is at one end of the ranking with 0.0335 €/kWh, while Sweden is at the other end with 0.2092 €/kWh. The range between them is 0.1757 €/kWh, compared with 0.1228 €/kWh for the EU-27.
What is being measured
Values are average household natural gas prices for Eurostat band D2, including all taxes. EnergyBoard uses one common period to avoid comparing different semesters.
How to interpret the result
This is a comparable statistical price rather than a commercial offer. Data availability also varies between national markets and according to Eurostat confidentiality rules.
METHODOLOGY
Ranking methodology
To avoid misleading comparisons, EnergyBoard only ranks countries with a value for the same period as the EU-27. Missing values are never replaced by zero.
