Sweden reaches 65.4%
Sweden ranks first at 65.4%, more than 39 percentage points above the EU-27 level displayed for the same period.
Finland is also above 50%
Finland follows at 53.0%. These high values reflect energy systems in which renewable resources play a major role beyond electricity alone.
Belgium is at 14.9%
At the other end of the ranking shown, Belgium records 14.9%. The range between the two extremes is therefore 50.5 percentage points.
This ranking does not measure renewable electricity alone. It concerns gross final energy consumption, including other uses such as heating and transport.
