EnergyBoard mainly relies on public Eurostat data covering energy, climate, households, transport and housing.

Import and processing
Data are retrieved from Eurostat services and stored in the EnergyBoard database. Derived calculations, including EU-27 gaps and changes over time, are computed by EnergyBoard.
Missing data
A missing observation is never replaced by zero. Some series are not published for every country or period.
Revisions
Eurostat may revise observations. EnergyBoard regularly reimports series and records its import dates.
Statistical scope
EnergyBoard now combines energy, climate and social statistics. Housing indicators may come from EU-SILC or Census 2021 and therefore do not always share the same reference year.
Geographical levels
National comparisons use countries and the EU-27. Regional climate pages also use NUTS 2. Regional observations are never treated as national values.
