Methodology

EnergyBoard mainly uses public Eurostat data. Series are imported server-side, stored locally and normalised to produce tables, charts and comparisons.

Processing principles

Missing values are never automatically replaced by zero. Eurostat periods, units and dimensions are retained so calculations remain auditable.

Comparability

Rankings use a common period across the countries being compared. A missing observation is excluded rather than replaced by an estimate.

Derived indicators

EnergyBoard calculates EU-27 gaps, shares of European totals and historical changes from imported observations.

Updates

Every import is logged and derived metrics are rebuilt from local series after source data are updated.
