How should the electricity price ranking be read?
What the latest data show
For H2 2025, Hungary is at one end of the ranking with 0.1082 €/kWh, while Ireland is at the other end with 0.4042 €/kWh. The range between them is 0.2960 €/kWh, compared with 0.2896 €/kWh for the EU-27.
What is being measured
Values are average household prices for Eurostat band DC, including all taxes. Using the same consumption band makes country comparisons more consistent.
How to interpret the result
The ranking describes an average statistical price, not necessarily the tariff paid by a specific household. Contract type, actual consumption, national support measures and taxation can affect an individual bill.
METHODOLOGY
Ranking methodology
To avoid misleading comparisons, EnergyBoard only ranks countries with a value for the same period as the EU-27. Missing values are never replaced by zero.
